About Katherine

My first pet care job was at Happy Hound Play and Daycare located in Oakland CA. I started there as a Dog Handler. My passion for the dogs shown bright in the way I was attentive to the dogs needs, kept their play area clean and made sure all the dogs had a safe fun day! I was then promoted to Boarding Manager. This roll allowed me to take caring for dogs to another level. I was responsible for feeding, medicating, napping and walking the dogs. The responsibility also allowed me to grow into a dog training position. As a handler, I would watch the dogs behaviours, play style and the way dogs communicated with each other and the people around them. this helped me thrive in my dog training roll and lead me into becoming Dog Training Manager. I worked at Happy Hound for 9 close to 10 years. This isn't just a job, this is my passion.
