About Katharine

Hello! My name is Kate, I am a student at Eckerd College, and I love spending time with kids of all ages! I have 6 years of experience babysitting and have spent 4 summers working full-time as a nanny. I have experience watching all ages of children, from infants and toddlers to elementary and middle school children. I also have a great deal of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults with a wide variety of physical and cognitive disabilities. I am comfortable driving children, preparing meals, washing dishes and other household tasks, and taking children to the park or other places out of the house. I enjoy spending time outside with children when I babysit and find it important for children to get fresh air and let their energy out. I also really enjoy activities that spark children's creativity such as arts and crafts and building things with blocks or legos. I always try to engage children in hands-on activities and avoid screen time unless deemed appropriate.
