About Katharine

I have been babysitting for a long time but nannied for about 3 years. I just finished my first year as an elementary permanent building sub in district 203 and am teaching certified. I am not yet a teacher but am going to graduate school to become one! I am currently open all summer since school is out. As an educator I believe in advocating for all students. I make a great effort in making every student and child feel seen because I find it necessary to build their confidence and independence. I believe in building rapport, trust, and a genuine interest with all students and children in order to build a strong connection. I do tend to be more on the nurturing side, but I do stay consistent with rules and behavior. I tend to work best with children with multi-needs, ADHD, and high anxiety.
