About Kate

I'd describe my personality as kind, patient, and curious I like working with kids because their curiosity and desire to grow inspires me. I love to find age-appropriate engaging activities that challenge and excite them, as well as learn from and with them. Right now, I am looking for a summer-time caregiving, flexible job. It is also important to me to have supportive, engaged, and honest parents who I work well with to ensure their children have the best care! I started working with kids when I was in high school, through college summers, into private-in home nannying and substitute teaching after college In my spare time, I like to coach softball, spend time outdoors, sing, spend time with family/ friends, and workout My skills include gradual release methods where I help kiddos first and directly, and slowly allow them to have autonomy and agency over their learning. I also am patient and empathetic toward emotional needs and behaviors. I am tidy, organized, and creative.
