My name is Katie, and I am a certified teacher looking for a job in childcare over the summer and a family I can work with sporadically in the evenings continuing into the following school year. I have years of experience with children ranging in age from 5-14, and I have a Bachelor's Degree from Illinois State University. I do not smoke and I have my own transportation! This summer, I plan to get CPR and First Aid training so I am ready for emergencies that may occur. I am a skilled swimmer and was certified in lifeguard training years ago, so I am confident that I can keep kids safe in the pool and in other situations. I love getting engaging kids, including crafting, getting out of the house, exercising, playing outside. Since I am a teacher, I will be able to help with homework, help kids understand concepts learned in school, and anything else needed.
