We hired Katelyn to nanny for 2 weeks while our regular nanny was on vacation. She had just moved to the area and was happy to have found some work. Our interview went really well. She seemed like a nice trustworthy girl. We explained our situation and Katelyn was super easygoing and seemed very willing to help. We agreed on a price and set a date and time to start and she showed up for the first day and did a wonderful job with my baby girl. She then texted me at around nine the same night stating she had a family emergency and told me an elaborate story of what happened and that she wouldn't be available the remainder of the week but would keep me posted regarding the following week. She knew our situation and knew it would be near impossible for me to find childcare on such short notice and was very apologetic. I told her I understood and asked her to keep me posted on her situation. I never heard from her again despite messaging her on two separate occasions a few days later. She never responded, yet while I was looking for coverage on here, I could see she had just been active on her profile around the same time I had texted her. I am super disappointed with her. She could have at least had the decency to be honest with me or at least respond. Be very careful hiring her.
