About Katelyn

I've always had a love for kids. I started helping with children when I was 12 in my church nursery, where I was even nicknamed the "baby whisperer." Since then, I've had experience with children of all ages in many different settings, including nannying, teaching preschool at my church, and working in an elementary school with children who have a variety of behavioral challenges, along with many other experiences. These experiences have taught me how to stay calm even when big emotions are involved and have shown me that every child is different and will need different things. They have also given me a deep appreciation for getting to be a part of the growth and development children experience. I am who I am because of who Jesus created me to be. I'm kind, patient, fun, and dependable. Outside of working with kids, I enjoy reading, riding horses, sewing, and spending time with my family and friends. I'm also currently in graduate school pursuing my Master's in Social Work.
