About Katelyn

This would be my first job as a nanny but I have years of child experience! I worked at the beloved and well known children's store Claire's for 5 years. I then went on to being a substitute paraeducator (teacher's assistant). I mainly worked in elementary and kindergarten, during this time I spent a large amount of time in a special education preschool class. After a while I found a self contained 3rd-5th grade special education classroom that I fell in love with working with kids with Autism, Down Syndrom, developmental delays, and physical disabilities that I have worked in for the last two years. I am currently going to school online to become a special education teacher. I am trained in Right Response and behavioral intervention. I have years worth of experience with both neuotypical and children with disabilities. Kid's take to me very fondly and I am easily able to build up rapport with them! I want to help out any way possible and provide for the kids I work with!
