About Kate

My name is Kate and I am a 26-year-old licensed school social worker for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. I currently work at an elementary school where I am responsible for caring for the needs of six hundred and 50 students and their families. I have my Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest University where I majored in sociology and double minored in psychology and counseling. I received my Masters in Social Work from UNC Chapel Hill, where I focused on direct-practice and obtained my school social work license. I have worked for CMS for 2 years and this past year I was nominated for School Social Worker of the Year. I am from Charlotte so I am very familiar with the area. I have 4 years of swim coaching experience, with 2 years being the head coach at Foxcroft Hills Swim & Racquet Club. I also have experience as a nanny and a summer school teacher. I love being a school social worker and would love an opportunity to work with children over the summer as well. Thank you!
