About Kate

Ever since I was a little girl I have had a passion to work with seniors. I was very close to all of my grandparents and helped care for my grandmother after my grandfather passed and she moved into our house. She had Lewy Body dementia which inspired me to learn more about the many different types of dementia so I could support her and others living with it. In college I studied Communication and Science Disorders with a minor in Gerontology. I worked as a Life Enrichment Manager in a memory care community and now work as a Senior Living Sales & Marketing Manager. I love being a part of an interdisciplinary team always working to provide the highest quality of care for the residents. It has been a rewarding and fulfilling job, being able to provide resources and support to seniors and their families. I plan to go back to school for a Masters in Social work or Gerontology and feel that being a companion would be the a great job while I am working through my degree.
