About Kate

My name is Kate and I've been caring for people for as long as I can remember. I began babysitting as a "mother's helper" for a neighbor family when I was nine. From there, I babysat throughout middle and high school and then nannying in my early twenties. In my mid twenties I began caring for two adult family members, one with dementia and one with glioblastoma, which also affected cognition and requires round the clock care. I know how important it is to know that our loved ones are well cared for and I would like to provide compassionate, respectful care for someone who needs it. Just a few perks: I play several instruments and can sing/play with people who like music! I have a BA in psychology and focused on developmental psychology, memory and learning, and psychology of the aging. I'm able to put people at ease and help them feel comfortable and content.
