About Kassia

I started working with kids when I was just a kid myself, becoming an aunt at the age of 13 and regularly providing childcare for my neices & nephews ever since then!! I also began babysitting for neighbors, family-friends, etc. as a teen and have served as a nanny (caregiving +cleaning) for families off/on over the years. I would say that my top-3 skills as a caregiver are my patience, compassion & empathy!! I love working with kids because, as an autistic adult, I often feel misunderstood/judged by other adults and feel most comfortable communicating with younger humans. I find that I have always been skilled at helping kids navigate/communicate their feelings appropriately/effectively, and I pride myself in being a relatable/compassionate adult for children to feel comfortable speaking with, which I didn't really have when I was young.
