About Karrel

I'd describe my personality as relaxed, gentle and curious I like working with kids because they are extremely intelligent and creative. During college, I worked at a pediatric clinic that specialized in the IDD population and it was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career. I have a bachelors degree in exercise sciende and masters degree in nutrition, so I like to incorporate what I learned from school, and the clinic, into the time I spend with children. I also did some part-time babysitting and have some experience facilitating youth summer programs and teaching arts and crafts. In my spare time, I like to make art, read, and enjoy nature. One thing you should know about me is that I work well under pressure. I have certifications in Youth Mental Head First Aid as well as Crisis Preventions Intervention. I value communication and clear, fair consequences over punishment. And my priority will always be the child's safety.
