About Karla

Hello my name is Karla and I graduated from Clemson University with a degree in biosystems engineering and I am currently getting my PhD at the Colorado School of Mines in the quantitative biosciences and engineering interdisciplinary program. I previously was a nanny before attending college and spent much of my time during my undergraduate studies tutoring other students. I am currently a mentor to undergraduate students in my research lab and enjoy helping all levels of students enjoy science and learning in general. My main focus for tutoring is math and science but I can help your child in a wide range of topics. During COVID times, the unknown of how kids will be getting their education and how well they will be getting that education is stressful. I am here to help supplement what your child is learning and give them the extra help they need to still be successful in such hard times. I take the pandemic seriously and practice social distancing and wear a mask daily.
