About Kari

My interest in caring for children stems from my life/work experiences as an art teacher, a nanny, and caregiver for adults. My experience is supported by my education. As an art therapy grad student, I understand how important it is to meet kids where they're at in terms of developmental needs. I'm confident in my ability to provide quality care. I'm calm, creative, fun, reliable, and approachable. I value open and honest dialogue, and I'm happy to adapt to parent's preferred communication methods. I believe in following the parents' lead when it comes to enforcing household rules, as I understand that each family has its own unique set of values and expectations. My favorite things to do with children include outdoor sports and physical games, arts and crafts, board games and puzzles, and educational games that promote learning. I'm comfortable caring for up to two children at a time, and I have experience working with children of all ages, from infants to preteens.
