Karin was our Nanny for over two years until our daughter started attending preschool.  Karin was always punctual and accommodating.  We would definitely hire Karin again.

Karin has been a nanny for our family for the past 2.5 years and we wish we could keep her for many more but we are relocating.  She has cared for our 2.5 year old son as well as premature one year old twins all since birth.  She has handled light housekeeping, all responsibilities related to the kids including laundry, bottles, meals, and also been just an amazing friend and second mom to me.  To say we will miss her is an understatement.  She is incredibly professional, always on time, very flexible and fantastic with the children.  They light up when she arrives every morning and it's clear to see the impact she has on them.   You won't find a more genuine, caring and amazing nanny.

It's hard to know where to start.  Karin has been our nanny since our now chatty and rambunctious toddler was a tiny baby.  In that time, Karin has been as much a guide to us as she has to our little girl.  She taught our little girl her shapes; she taught us how to use a snot cleaner.  She taught our little girl how to be polite; she taught us how to properly take a temperature.  She keeps our girl on a nap schedule; she taught us how to cut carrots so they aren't choking hazards.  She takes our little girl to music and gym classes; she gave us advice on activities that would be developmentally appropriate.  And, I'm sure it goes without saying that our little girl loves Karin.  I've also come to hear stories about Karin's loving family and I'm grateful to have found someone with so much love and concern.  I do think the next family to work with Karin will be very lucky indeed.

Karin has all the qualities you could ever ask for in a caregiver. One hundred percent reliable, punctual, amazing with children. She takes my son to daily fun and educational activities, values manners and has taught him so much in general, is incredibly competent. I ask her for advice as well. It has been a luxury to have her work with our family, and know that my son has had a fun, educational and loving day with Karin. My son loves her. Had we stayed in this area, I think I would have found a way to keep Karin until we had number 2...(not yet conceived!) I couldn't believe our luck when we found her. The transition from our prior nanny was seamless. She is so calm, never raises her voice. She has tons of experience and I also trust her one hundred percent when it comes to sickness etc. Anyone whom hires Karin is tremendously lucky.

I cannot say enough good things about Karin.
She has taken care of my son for the last one year, from 18 months, to now, at 2.5 years of age. I was impressed by Karin from the get-go. She has all the qualities you could ever ask for in a caregiver. First of all she is always punctual and incredibly organized. She is extremely good with children. My son was very attached to his prior nanny, but the transition to Karin was seamless. From the first time we worked together, I have had full confidence in her. It is very evident to me how much my son loves her. She takes my son to library classes daily, and I can tell that she has been teaching him lots of things every day. They are frequently out on excursions and at museums. In addition she is excellent when it comes to teaching manners, and really values these skills, which I have found to be so helpful. She is always very calm, and I have never heard her raise her voice to him. She is very patient with him, but also knows how to set limits. (probably much better than the parents!)

In addition she is incredibly capable when it comes to sickness, fevers etc. I always trust her assessments. She checks in with me once every day, and sends a nice picture of my son, which I really appreciate. I also appreciate her flexibility, as both me and my husband are physicians, and sometimes run late.

Had it not been for the fact that we are moving to the East Coast, I would have found a way to keep her for as long as possible, including if we were to have another child. 
I am sad to not get to work with her anymore, as I cannot believe we got so lucky!

Caring, loving, experienced, flexible and reliable caregiver who took great care of my baby boy. Was always confident that he was in good hands!

Karin is a wonderful, caring and reliable nanny. She took care of my baby boy from the time he was four months until he was 1 year and 20 months old. She was wonderful with him and with the other baby that she watched through our nanny share arrangement, always loving and gentle but also teaching them good manners and habits. From day one, Karin established a consistent schedule with the babies, so they and the parents know what to expect every hour that she is taking care of them. She also wrote everything that happened during the day including what they ate, when they napped, how often they had wet diapers and any other concerns. As a trained nurse, she knew exactly what to do when they got sick. On one occasion, she took the initiative to call my son's doctor when his fever got dangerously high and I was in the middle of a meeting far from home. She is reliable and always on time. She is always very flexible and handles last minute changes with ease, which I really appreciate. Karin also has a very calm, easy going nature, and nothing seems to rattle her which has been critical, esp while watching two active little babies. She takes constructive suggestions well. The only reason why we have to part ways is because my parents are moving across the country to be closer to family and will watch him full-time. We will definitely continue to use her as a babysitter and keep in touch. I would highly recommend her to any family.

Karin has been with us for a little over a year.  We are doing a nanny share with another family, so some days she watches my son and the other family's son (both 18 months), and sometimes just my son and daughter 4 1/2.  The other family has grandparents moving to town, and will no longer need a nanny, which is why Karin is looking to find another fmily to work with.  

When we hired Karin, the other family and I were specifically looking for someone who could juggle two babies.  Because Karin has twins herself, as well as had previously watched twins, we felt comfortable leaving her with the two boys.    

We have been very happy with Karin, and both of my kids love her.  As a working Mom, she has made our lives so much easier.  She is always on time, keeps meticulous daily logs of the kids sleep/eating habits, and any changes in behavior, etc.  She plays lots of game with them, works on language development (i.e. parts of the body, letters, etc), and takes them for daily walks.  She is extremely patient and gentle, but also expects good manners (i.e., telling my 4 year old to stay in her seat while others are still eating, etc), and disciplines gently when needed.  She is also extremely flexible with scheduling, and is almost always able to stay late (like for Back to School night this week), come early, etc.  Although her primary job is watching the kids, she does jump in to help with things around the house like the occasional folding of laundry or emptying the dishwasher.  The house is also always orderly when I come home, and the kids sippy cups and food containers all washed and on the drying rack.
