About Kari

I have many years of experience working with children. I have worked in childcare centers for 11 years and have been a 2-year-old lead teacher. I had nine, 2-year-olds by myself, which included triplet brothers. I currently work at a private preschool in North Raleigh and am the lead preschool teacher there over a group of 3-year-olds. I am also the director of my church nursery. I have my BS in Early Childhood Education and graduated with honors in May of 09. I am passionate about what I do because I have watched so many people over the years treat children horribly or just take the job because it is the easiest thing to do. When you care for someone's child, you have to understand that child is their world. They are everything to their parents and the level of trust it takes to leave their child with someone else is a lot! Care giving should not be taken lightly! Children take understanding and patience and I love their willingness to learn! All day every day children have opportunities to learn and caregivers should take the opportunity to facilitate that. I love children and have always seemed to have been able to build trusting and fun relationships with them very easily and quickly. I am called "the babysitter" by everyone in my family and on any given weekend I can be found playing with and spending time with my nephews and niece! I am mainly on here now to provide care for date nights on the weekend! Every couple deserves time by their selves to reconnect or just to have a relaxing meal without wiping mouths, moving sharp utensils around, and hearing all about how your children don't like the meal you just ordered! Spending time together without the kids helps renew us and happy refreshed parents make for happy children!
