My joy comes from working and caring for kids. I'm a proud mother of two children, 18 and 21, and I've cherished every minute of their childhood. I love that my children are spreading their wings, but I will miss having them around so much! I have been teaching for 28 years, so far, and I've taught at the elementary, middle and college level. Currently, I'm a reading interventionist, but I've also taught regular and special education, language arts, health resilience and social studies. I truly feel that every age is my favorite age! Being a working mom, I know it takes a village to raise children. I'm a very empathetic and caring person who would love to be a part of your village in helping care for your family! I believe that kids should spend time being creative, active, curious and find joy in learning and experiencing new things. My kids and I have so many fun memories of summer adventures, and I would love to bring that fun to your kiddos too!

Kari cared for our girls, ages 9 and 10, for 2-3 days a week during the summer. She did an excellent job- we couldn't be happier! She went above and beyond to keep the girls busy and engaged, arranging for their friends to come over, having a lemonade stand, and a variety of creative activities for them. As a mom herself, Kari was able to navigate their occasionally challenging situations with ease. Highly recommend!
