I'd describe my personality as caring, positive, and dedicated. I like tutoring because as a former teacher, I am passionate about helping students succeed. No student is the same, and tutoring allows me to work with the student's individual learning style while helping them stay engaged. Getting to know my students and seeing them overcome challenges is rewarding. I'm looking for a job that allows me to help students succeed by encouraging and reinforcing their confidence in themselves. I started tutoring almost 10 years ago as an elementary school teacher. I have spent a lot of time working with students one-on-one in the classroom. More recently, I've started private tutoring outside the classroom. In my spare time, I like to read, spend time with family and friends, volunteer, and travel. One thing you should know about me is I am dependable. My skills include engaging materials, assessment of student's progress, virtual tutoring and continuing communication.
