About Karen

I have extensive experience working with children of all ages, from infancy to 12 years. My experience includes teaching preschool, kindergarten and most recently home schooled first graders. I currently run summer and school break camps from my licensed home in Fair Oaks. I offer river walks through River Song, a nature based program. I provide knowledgeable and loving care that is based on current NAEYC standards of care. I have a good knowledge of hygiene and health issues of children, and am experienced in identifying developmental delays. I am creative, imaginative, believing that children are capable and creative in their own right. or I am able to also establish clear boundaries and expectations, using positive reinforcement, and can help parents struggling with discipline issues. I can also tutor English composition as well.
