About Karen

Hi! My name is Karen, I am a current nursing student; I have my BFA in fine arts, working on my second degree, BSN. I have over a decade of hands-on experience in childcare and special needs support. Currently, as I mentioned above, I am a nursing student, primarily working in labor and delivery. Previous to this I was a teacher at a school for children and adults with special needs, where I provided academic and behavioral support. During my teaching years I also worked with Center for Family Support- a nonprofit organization that provides childcare and support to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities. Before I was a teacher, I was a full time nanny for two years to a family, starting when their infant was 3 months until almost 3 years old . I am ALS/CPR and First Aid certified, highly dependable, and passionate about providing the highest standard of care.
