About Karen

My name is Karen and I look forward to helping you with your little one(s). I started off working in the church nursery at a young age, and many of the church families hired me to watch their children at their homes. I went to college and studied child development/early education, and worked at a couple of day care/Learning centers in the area I was living at the time. I helped my sister with her 5 children (who all call me their 2nd mom) and loved every second of it. I also took care of my mother (who has dementia)... I know, she's not a child.. but very much like a child (and I'm comfortable with someone being dependent on me... giving medicine, etc). I'm CPR/first aid certified, Article 9, and have my level 1 fingerprint security clearance card. I'm employed by an agency for special needs children (where I can make/change my schedule, work as much/little as I want, as I've moved and I'd like to work closer to home. I've worked w/kids of all ages and stages.
