About Karen

Hello! My name is Karen but I like to go by my middle name Leah (Lay-Uh) I have been in early childhood education and care for almost five years at Rich Beginnings Child Care Center. I've worked with children as young as 3 months to 11 years. I recently graduated college (Class of 2024) from the University at Albany as Cum Laude, double majoring in English and History with a minor in philosophy. In turn, when I work with children, I love to read books, tell stories, engage in play, and arts and crafts. Moreover, I enjoy being outside soaking up as much Vitamin D as possible! I also love animals, I have a cat and a dog of my own. I'm a pretty active person, I like to run, I just ran the Buffalo half marathon, going to the gym and for walks, and I love to hike. I also enjoy cooking and I would say I am skilled in cleaning as well! I have a drivers license and a car too. I would love to be able to help you and your family out! Cheers!
