Your loved one needs someone that they will be comfortable with and trust. I make it a top priority to gain that trust and establish a friendship. It is often the little things that go a long way; a tender touch, a back scratch, a silly joke, reading about silly things happening in our world, a hand massage. I am a licensed CNA with a CPR/First Aid certification. Experienced with end of life care, ADL's (feeding, dressing, bathing, leisure care), companionship and light housekeeping. I have specialized training in various aspects of dementia care (Alzheimer's, Parkinson, Lewy Body) and continue annually with educational classes. I am an advocate of helping our seniors to be able to stay home and feel as independent as long as possible. I enjoy games, arts and crafts and music. I look for ways to incorporate activities that are appropriate and enjoyable.
