I have 3 grown children, and my grandmother is 99 years young. I enjoy volunteering , walking on the beach and spending time with family. It’s not easy to trust the care of your elderly parent to someone you don’t know. My family was faced with that situation when my dad needed care due to dementia and Alzheimer’s. Karen gave him the very best care that we could have hoped for. It takes a special person who has amazing love and patience to care for others, especially those with impairment. She looked after our dad like he was her own. She treated him with dignity, respect and never once made him feel like he was any different. My family are so grateful to her for the many ways she cared for my dad and we couldn’t have gotten through a difficult time without her.
