I have 38 years of diversified experience in the healthcare profession including working as a staff nurse, director of a home care agency, drug safety, training director at a pharmaceutical company, case management and utilization review. Additionally, I worked private duty for approximately 10 years caring for seniors with Alzheimer's, mobility issues, chronic pain and congestive heart failure and five years of private duty for a newborn baby and mother. Most recently, I cared for a 99-year-old every Friday, Saturday and Sunday 24/7 for 2 1/2 years. Responsibilities included transferring client, assisting with physical therapy, taking client to doctor's appointments, light housekeeping, washing cloths and bed linens, meal preparation, assisting with feeding, bathing, dressing and medication. I worked as an adjunct professor at a University teaching undergraduate and graduate nursing and business students. I am very active, enjoy the outdoors, all sports and have two dogs.

Karen was a Caregiver for my mother in law for a few years on a part time basis. She's very smart, knowledgeable and has an extensive medical background. She's patient, caring and personable. She always goes up and beyond whats expected of her and is very organized. She had created a medication chart for the family and consistently wrote down notes of any health changes to communicate with doctors. She showed great patience and adapted very well to my MIL's health daily needs and health changes. She's reliable, dependable and a great communicator. She tries the best she can to accommodate what days and hours you need. Overall Karen is a very pleasant woman with a big heart! She's a people person and it's evident she enjoys what she does. Our entire family adored her. I highly recommend Karen to care for your loved one.
