Karen was sent to us from heaven! She has been a beloved part of our family for over two years. She has been caring for our 4 year old daughter since she was 2. We are moving to Connecticut and want her to come with us but the commute will be too much for her and she prefers to remain in NYC. We can't adequately state how wonderful she has been for our daughter and for our entire family. She is extremely reliable, always on time, flexible, good-natured, loving, honest, has a good sense of humor and most importantly her approach with our daughter has been outstanding. She keeps her safe at all times and our daughter loves and respects her. She enjoys taking our daughter to play dates, picnics, museum trips, etc in addition to typical daily responsibilities. As an added bonus, she is an excellent cook and likes to regularly cook for our family during any available "down time". She is fluent (really) in English and Portuguese. Our family, friends, neighbors and strangers always comment on how lucky we are to have her (and we agree). We are going to miss her sorely, as she has become an important member of our family. If you are in need of a nanny, we wholeheartedly recommend her without any reservation, and only wish we could take her with us in our move to Connecticut. If she advances in the process with anyone who is reading this, would be more than happy to speak with you and provide a reference.
