About Kara

I grew up in CT and lived there while earning my undergraduate degree in Communications and then master's degree in Elementary Education. After grad school, I became a Montessori teacher at The Whitby School in Greenwich, CT. During that time, I married my husband, Jason, and eventually left the field to raise our 4 children now aged 20, 18, 17, 17. We moved to Jupiter, FL in 2013. During that time, as the kids got older, I returned to the workforce as a part-time realtor, home stager and window treatment designer. Eventually, as our oldest son was getting recruited by UVA to play lacrosse, we began spending more time in Charlottesville. We all fell in love with the area and recently made the decision to move here full-time in June for our younger 3 kids to finish out high school at St. Anne's-Belfield School. It's been a great move for us and we are enjoying getting to know the area w/ our kids and 4 fur babies. I am currently seeking a position in childcare/tutoring.
