About Kalnn

Hi! My name is Kalynn P. I am a 28-year-old student at the Community College of Philadelphia studying pediatric nursing and Early Childhood Education. Some background on my experience: I am currently working at West Oak Lane Charter School as an assistant teacher. During the summer I created a summer pod with three or four children and e did activities, took special trips such as the zoo, Franklin Institute, swimming, and more. During the pandemic, I also create a kindergarten pod where I taught and assisted children in their online classroom, prepared lunch and snack, and took special trips to the zoo and park. I have also worked at the YMCA for 6 years as a preschool teacher. Throughout my six years there, I have worked with toddlers to school age children. While working closely with he children at the Y, I have developed relationships with not only the kids but the parents as well. This has led me to baby-sitting opportunities. I am a hands-on-sitter. I love engaging children.
