About Kalkidan

Hello! My name is Kalkidan, and I recently graduated from Emory University with a degree in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology. I've recently moved back to North Carolina, where I'll be spending the next few years during my gap years before continuing my education. I have about eight years of experience working with children through babysitting, volunteering, and community programs, including roles at public libraries, churches, and community organizations. During my time at Emory, I spent two years tutoring elementary and middle school students through Emory Reads. I also worked with the Washington Community Center, where I participated in a variety of child-centered activities and programs. My years of experience with children of different ages have taught me to approach each child with patience, understanding, and flexibility.
