About Kala

Hi I would describe myself as fun, energetic, compassionate, patient, understanding, responsible, respectful, reliable and likable. I have roughly 3-4 years of professional child care experience. Iv done personal baby sitting since I was young girl and was a volunteer aide in Hedrick middle schools special education MAPS class. I have a little over 2 years of experience as a DSP (Direct support professional) for a young, 16-year-old boy on the spectrum. I use to nanny part time for 3 awesome kids (12y/o-13y/o). I work well with children of all ages and developmental stages. I work hard and strive to make meaningful connections with the kids I work with. I am able to create a safe and comforting environment where your kids can thrive. Respecting and protecting the kids I work with is very important to me. I am certified in CPR, AED, First aide for children/Infants and adults, Infant safe sleeping, as well as childcare health and safety and Oregon intervention system.
