Hi, I'm Kaitlyn! I have extensive experience working with children, including long-term substitution across grades PK-12, three years as an instructional assistant in both a life skills classroom and early childhood special education classroom, as well as involvement in after-school programs and church volunteering. I have also been babysitting for over 10 years. I graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2017 with a degree in family studies/education. During my time in Abilene, I worked as a nanny for a father and his two daughters, one of whom had special needs, every other weekend. My responsibilities included meal preparation, laundry, cleaning, educational activites and facilitating socialization. Currently, I work full-time in the tech industry but I am eager to establish regular babysitting relationships with families during my spare time. Kaitlyn was our childcare provider since March/April 2018. We have 3 kids who were at that time ages 9, 5, and 2. She is kind, warm, friendly, and caring. She has excellent communication skills with children and always had ideas for how to keep our kids engaged. My kids loved doing things with her, like playing board and simple card games, playing outside, making crafts and learning, completing simple chores, and even dancing! She had a very flexible schedule and could adjust to last-minute schedule changes--which was a big help to us because we had just started a business and worked crazy hours. Please also know that we do have cameras outside and inside of our home--and she has never done anything to cause alarm. She is a great childcare provider.
