Prior to the pandemic, I was a mentor for a 27-year-old male on the autism spectrum in New York, New York. My responsibilities included, assisting in his organizational, and pragmatic skills, his commute to class, and attending his undergraduate courses in order to be sure that he remains on task and alert at all times. Worked on various subjects from the comfort of his own home, which included but were not limited to, art, and biochemistry related coursework multiple times a week. Once I started graduate school, I began tutoring a 5-year-old bilingual French student in reading. She was able to read her first book independently only a few months later.

Kaitlyn has my highest possible recommendation. We know now her for two years and she has taken my youngest daughter from barely able to sound out words and witnessed her become a reader with the highest grade possible in English. When we hired Kaitlyn, my youngest daughter was having difficulty reading. Kaitlyn immediately recognized that my daughter was actually having speech issues that affected her reading. Kaitlyn created endless games to teach her phonics. I would come home and find them with tiny signs all over the house, playing hide and seek word games, which my daughter would leave in place to practice even when Kaitlyn was not present. Kaitlyn is expert at finding what excites a kid and going completely in their world to keep them engaged and learning. She had great judgement at all times and went out of her way to keep in touch with me to show me what they were doing. We are so glad to know Kaitlyn. She's a great resource and a joy of a person.
