About Kaitlyn

My name is Katie, and I'm going into my senior year at Pratt Institute, where I'm majoring in Writing with a minor in Philosophy. I have several years of experience working with children. In high school, I worked at a Montessori preschool in summer and aftercare programs with toddlers and preschool-aged children. After graduating high school in 2022, I spent the following year working there full-time as an assistant teacher. While I'm new to babysitting in the city, I previously spent summers back home working for families I've known for years. I am excited to connect with new families here! I come from a very child-centered family as my mom and my sister are speech-language pathologists, and my other sister is a special education teacher so supporting children has always been a huge part of my life. I'm a very artistic and creative person, and I love planning imaginative activities, sensory games, and crafts. I also love reading and am currently working on a children's book!
