About Kahla

I have been a caregiver for the past 20 years in various forms. My career began in a nursing home and I was assigned as a CNA on the Alzheimer unit. I provided all of their cares with dignity and respect. I loved my patients but wanted more experience. I went to work for a group home to assist developmentally disabled clients. I was their main provider for cares, medication administration, transportation and support. I was given a better opportunity for me to gain experience in an assisted living where I remained until my son was born. My job duties included but were not limited to personal cares, medication administration, housekeeping, leading activities, preparing and serving meals. My family later relocated and with that I gained employment as a caregiver in a RCAC where I later managed the community for several years until the pandemic. I am now seeking an opportunity to assist others on a smaller scale and be able to help those who want to remain at home.
