About Justin

Hi! My name is Justin, I am a first year PhD student at the University of Utah in the Biological Chemistry field. I have been involved in student outreach and education since high school, and in college I was ATA certified and began teaching organic chemistry to my peers, as well as tutoring in every chemistry and math subject. I have spent time helping students prep for the MCAT, ACT, and GRE. I have experience with elementary-aged children as well, as I volunteered at a French-American school where I taught Math and French to K and 3rd graders. I have spent some time doing occasional, private science lessons for family friends. I believe each student has a special "language" which they learn by, and one-on-one teaching is a great way to learn that language and help them succeed in that field. I am a growth-orientated teacher, so I believe any student, no matter how much they initially struggle, can eventually learn any subject.
