About Juniper

I began working with kids when I was 15, babysitting for families in my town. I then worked in a preschool the summer before college, working with children ages 2-10 in classrooms of 10-15 kids. The following summer I ran a day camp with my older sister, providing food, transportation, and directing creative activities for up to 10 kids ages 1-10 Monday-Friday. I also worked with a non-profit in Geneva, NY where I directed and supervised a gardening program for high school students. I genuinely enjoy spending time with kids and seeing the world through their eyes as they learn and grow. I have gained patience, humility, and thoughtfulness through this work, and I am eager to continue it. One thing to know: I am in the process of leaving my current full-time job and will be available at the end of September to caretake full-time. This decision is to prepare for applying and returning to graduate school next fall, during which I plan to maintain part-time caretaking roles.
