About Julie

Legally I'm Julie, but please call me Jules. :) I'm an auntie to 15 kiddos and have been babysitting since I was 11 years old, so I have the whole range of experience from diapers & kids with the flu to bedtime routines to discipline with Love & Logic and Compassionate Communication. In addition to child (& elder) caregiving, I have past experience running an elementary school before- & after-school daycare program as well as two seasons as a residential, environmental educator with middle and high school students. I value kindness, sustainability, fun, and creativity. I'm allergic to cats but I can be around most other pets. I'm a writer/artist and avid outdoorswoman currently available near Bend, Ore. I split my week between part-time employment (4-5 days a week) and my creative commitments (2 days a week), so caregiving is an additional gig for me.
