About Julie

Hello! My name is Julie! As a graduate student, I became fascinated in better understanding cognition and language support for geriatrics. As a result, I became involved in research grants that provided language and processing support for individuals over 50 living with conditions such as aphasia, primary progressive aphasia, dysarthria, TBI and dementia. When not in class, I have worked part time as a caretaker in geriatrics. I have supported individuals with Parkinsonism, dementia, and individuals with mobility setbacks in their home, sustaining as much independence as possible. While cooking an entire pot roast is not in my skill set, I would love to support cooking simple recipes together if your loved one has that interest, engaging in great conversation, helping with laundry and care for your family and their pet.
