About JULIE

I'd describe my personality as fun, bright, and adventurous. I like working with kids because they are curious, funny, and insightful. I have experience working with gifted and neurodivergent children. I hold current CPR certification. I began working with kids when I was tutoring in college. Later I started a family and raised my two kids in Seattle. I coached girls basketball for 3 years. I have designed and taught youth art classes through the Seattle Public Schools and my art studio. In my spare time, I like to cook, paint, garden, walk my dogs, hike, travel, and spend time with friends and family. I bring a rich background to my work. I am professional artist and exhibit my work regularly in art galleries. I hold an M. A. degree in English Literature from the University of Washington. I have worked in technical communications for many years.
