About Julie

I graduated with Texas educator certification in Elementary Reading (Grades 1-8) and Elementary Self-Contained (Grades 1-8). I taught all subjects to 3rd graders from August 2001 to May 2007. In addition, I was a long term sub to special education students for half a year and a 4th grade teacher for half a year. I provided tutoring after school and on weekends. I led specialized tutoring to small groups and individuals in the classroom. I was a substitute teacher and private tutor to elementary-aged students for around 1 1/2 years. For the past 9 years I have homeschooled my three children in all subject areas, planning and guiding their education through a variety of curriculum. At our Classical Conversations co-op, I have tutored 4-6-year-olds through rhymes and chants to repeat memory work in Latin, English, History, Science, Math, Geography, and Timeline for 5 years. I now teach English Grammar and Writing to 4th through 6th graders once a week.
