I recently finished studying at CUNY School of Professional Studies to obtain my Child Development Associate certification. I will be taking my exam and submitting my portfolio this Spring to finish the certification process. I have a BA in Writing and Theater from Columbia College Chicago. My designation for my CDA is Infant to Toddler, but I have worked with children of all ages. I have a lot of experience with newborns and infants, as I used to volunteer in a nursery (The Motherhood Center.) I currently work part-time as a teacher at Tompkins Hall Nursery and Preschool, with infants to 5-year-olds. I aim to provide as much support to the parents as I do the children. I have numerous certifications, including Infant and Adult First Aid and CPR, and have helped families with potty and sleep training. My goal is to provide developmentally appropriate care in a warm, loving and positive environment.

Julia has been a great babysitter for our two girls (ages 4 and 6) this past year. She has a real love for kids and her humor always works wonders with my girls, although she knows how to enforce rules as well. She is always on time and is very helpful around he house as well. We are going to miss her a lot as we are moving, but wish her all the best and hope she finds another great family to work with.
