I graduated with my bachelor's degree in Psychology and Studio Art from Washington University in St. Louis in 2019, and I'm currently pursuing my PhD in Counseling Psychology at the University of Kansas. My background in psychological science sets me apart from other tutors and enables me to help my students to not only earn better grades, but also to build skills that will help them throughout their educational career. I spent 2 years working as an Early Learning Instructor in a tutoring center, and I have worked the last 9 years as a private tutor. I have worked with students ages 3-22 in math, reading, & test prep. I love watching my students' self-confidence grow, and I strive to get to know my students and create a learning environment in which they feel comfortable and supported. I have experience with kids with a variety of diagnoses, including autism, Tourette Syndrome, OCD, ODD, ADHD, dyslexia, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, anxiety, depression & chronic illness.

Julia has worked with my three kids over the last year and has been incredible. I have two with ADD that she very accurately evaluated, then put together a lesson plan that has all of my kids on a path to success. She knows the ins and outs of the software that is used in our district which is invaluable. They all connect with her and think she is cool and fun. They look forward to working with her and seek out her help. The results have been amazing. Not only have I seen tremendous improvement in their grades, they have all a new confidence as they head to school each morning and in the work they produce.
