About Julia

It is with great pleasure that we make this recommendation on behalf of Julie P. Julie worked for our family, caring for our 1 year old son, J., from June through August of 2016 and in that time we found her to be trustworthy, dependable, and above all nurturing. Julie was very flexible with our varying schedules, always arrived on time, and was willing to stay late if needed. But most importantly is how well she cared for our son. As this was the first time that J. would be cared for by someone outside of our immediate family, we knew that the situation would provide a very unique set of challenges. At the time, he was just learning to walk, cutting his two top teeth, going through a sleep regression, and exhibiting all the signs of separation anxiety. Any one of these issues would have been challenging on its own, and taken together, may have proven too much for another person. However, none of this seemed to faze Julie as she always remained patient and understanding with our child, and was excellent at adapting to his daily moods, using various soothing techniques and fun distractions to put our child at ease. In time, Jude grew vary attached to Julie as well, sometimes even crying when it was time for her to go home. ?Not only are we extremely happy with how Julie nurtured our child physically, but with her background in early childhood education, we feel that our son benefited intellectually from her care as well. She played games with Jude to teach him shapes, colors, and numbers; these same activities also helped to develop his fine motor skills. She also read to him daily, the importance of which cannot be stressed enough. In closing, we would like to reiterate our strong recommendation of Julie. Her educational background, patient and caring manner, and dependability would make her a great asset in any childcare situation.
