When I was 12, I started out as a mothers helper for a neighborhood mom with a 5-year-old, twin 3-year-olds and an infant. In high school, I became the primary babysitter for a family with twin boys, about 1. 5 at the time. I continued to care for these two boys through their 5th birthday. When I was 20, I had my daughter. I eventually went back to work and worked a variety of jobs, mostly focusing on baristaing while I went back to school. I studied Early Childhood Education, receiving 16 units of credits in the field, though I ended getting my AA in psychology. For the last year and a half I have worked at two different day care centers. I spent the majority of that time in the infant/toddler rooms caring for babies 3 months- 2 years. I also spent 4 months teaching PreK (3. 5-6 yo). I have continued my education through the program offered through my last job. I love kids, animals, being outside, art and play-based learning. I am a big fan of Waldorf and Montessori.
