About Julia

Hello! My name is Julia, I'm a 25-year-old cat mama, houseplant hoarder and lover of all things arts & crafts :) I am currently pursuing a BA in psychology. During the school year I run a behavioral intervention program at a local middle school where I help guide students to explore their emotions and the actions that they take as a result of experiencing those emotions. From there, I teach them to identify their triggers, set goals and implement strategies to reach those goals. When faced with challenging behaviors I see a unique opportunity to gain insight on a child's inner world and to help instill perseverance and self confidence as I guide them to overcome their challenges. I am searching for an afternoon position for the time being, but hope to transition back to full time childcare in the near future in order to free up some time for school. I will also be available during school breaks and for occasional weeknight/date night sitting. I look forward to speaking with you!
