Hello! My name is Julia and I have 8 years of paid childcare experience! Within this time I have provided excellent care for children of all ages, ranging from infancy through pre-teens. Before joining Care. com, I gained valuable experience by volunteering at my community church's Sunday school. I developed a love for taking care of and teaching children, and at 18 I began working in the daycare facility at LA Fitness. I had the pleasure of working there for over a year, where I cared for large groups of children (15+) ranging in ages from 3 months old to 12 years old. Since joining Care. com 7 years ago, I have had the pleasure of being a caregiver to many amazing families, and I have experience caring for children of all ages, and am comfortable watching 4+ children at a time! I have been a full time nanny for 5 years now, and I am very happy to discuss my experience and qualifications in-depth if you are interested.

We would recommend Julia a hundred times over as a babysitter! She is incredibly sweet, caring, and smart. She babysat our 2-year-old twins for date nights, and by just the second visit, our girls already felt completely safe and comfortable with her. They even snuggled up with her! We feel so comfortable leaving our girls in her care and would highly recommend Julia to any family. 

Julia - Juju - is an angel on earth sent to care for children and support parents. She has a higher purpose to provide childcare and I cannot believe we have been lucky. She has been our nanny from 8 months to 2.5 years. Juju is so reliable, so adaptable, so comfortable. We have busy jobs (I'm litigation attorney); yet Juju anticipates her needs, steps in when I'm tied up, has daily plans, makes suggestions, is absurdly punctual, she love our daughter unconditionally. She texts to remind my own schedule. She has taught ME so much about child rearing - things I never knew. Our daughter stood early, walked early, talked early, early full conversations, and was potty trained at 2 years. She has done more for us than I knew was possible. We reluctantly signed kid up for 2 days daycare for socialization (wish Juju could watch her through college). If you are lucky enough to get Juju on free days, thank your lucky stars. She is a supreme being and I cannot recommend her enough.

Our family was so fortunate to find Julia when looking for help with overnight care for our newborn.  From start to finish, Julia was positive, thoughtful, and extremely capable with everything we asked of her:  she made herself available to interview on a short timeline; she asked great questions, demonstrating her familiarity with and good sense about little ones; she took detailed notes while providing care; she was very gentle with our newborn; she kept a cheerful attitude even when the baby had kept her up for much of the night; and she honored her commitments.  We would highly recommend Julia to anyone looking for care.

Julia is an amazing babysitter! She is so kind and loving, and my kids love when she comes to watch them. Always on time and flexible, I would definitely recommend her and have recommended her to friends. Thanks a ton Julia!

I was so impressed and so happy with Julia as our babysitter! My husband and I were leaving our 7 month old with a sitter for a date night for the first time (other than having family watch her) while visiting San Diego. I interviewed Julia over the phone the week before and she asked me so many thoughtful questions, she got to all my questions before I even had the chance to ask any, and she covered way more than I would have even thought to ask her! She was so prepared, and I was immediately comfortable and impressed. 

Then on the date night, she arrived on time and I immediately knew I had made the right decision. She was warm and kind, and my baby took to her immediately. She put her to bed without a problem and sent us text updates periodically (as I had asked) with photos and confirmation that she was asleep, etc. I highly recommend Julia and hope to hire her again the next time we're in San Diego!
