About Julia

Hello! My name is Julia. I am an elementary school teacher newly relocated to the Alexandria area. I have taught at the elementary level for six years now, with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Teaching and Learning. Being an active, warm, yet firm and fair presence in children's lives is what draws me to working with kids, whether it's in the classroom or at home. I love spending time outside, reading, and playing games. As a dog mom myself, I'm comfortable taking care of any fur- or scale- children you might also have. Ideally, I'd love to find a family to work with this summer as a nanny - whether that's while you are teleworking or reporting in person! With school closures this spring, I know that many families want to ensure their children are prepared in the fall. I am happy to draw on my experience as a classroom teacher to provide instructional services based on your child's individual needs.
