I am a very capable caregiver who has EXCELLENT REFERENCES. I have 10+ years personal experience but I am NOT an RN, LPN, nor an LVN. I am a smoker but only outdoors and only if permitted to do so outdoors. Good driving record & Covid-vacs, love animals. My pay for 10&1/2 years was free room & board while Mom lived with me & I was her sole caregiver (7/2013 - 2/2024). She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2011, & when Dad died on 7/27/2013, I moved mom in with me that same day. I performed ALL of her daily living skills & maintained a clean, safe, comfortable & environment. In later years, hospice nurses taught me about skin tears & pressure ulcers, & I was able to properly treat them as needed. When Mom could no longer chew her food, I puréed fruits & veggies to feed to her. Hospice staff was invaluable in teaching me how to keep Mom as comfortable & healthy as possible. I learned so much about Alzheimer's & about elderly care. I will always cherish these years I had with her.
