About Juan Angel

I am a performer/director/music educator based in NYC with an MM in Voice and BM in Music Education! Working with children is a passion of mine because of their constant state of discovery. Seeing a child's face light up when they learn something new is why I decided to partly devote my life to education. With this I hope to give children an outlet that helps shape them into kind, expressive, curious, and thoughtful human beings. I began work with kids in high school as an assistant to my dance teachers with classes and camps. Since then, I have worked with kids ages 3 to 18 for nearly 10 years, teaching private/group classes and summer camps in voice, piano, guitar, and drums, as well as dance classes of various styles, so I have considerable experience in child development. I enjoy cooking, organizing, and love sharing art with kids! Having a background in education, I also thoroughly enjoy teaching and tutoring, so I am happy to help with homework too!
